Bertha May Gregory was born in Monroe, Fairfield County, Connecticut on 27 Sep 1880 to William Henry Gregory and Mary A. Downs. She married William Frederick Twiss, son of William C. Twiss and Emily Josephine Boerum on 21 Jan 1902 in Port Chester, New York. Bertha died on 12 May 1958 in Bridgeport, Fairfield County.
